Today, I feel blessed to share that the next chapter of my life begins as the Founder of True North Leadership™.
For me, this isn’t just a new company. Instead, it’s the crystallisation of a longstanding dream, of wanting to transform what we mean by leadership through the lens of moral courage.
Sounds a bit grand, right? But let me explain…
I’ve spent most of my career in public service. Along the way, I ended up in some pretty high-profile roles at a senior level in this country. My work has included different sectors like policing, national democratic services, the national fire service, local government, and the wider public sector.
However, there was always something that bothered me in this journey. The hard decisions always remained on the table, untouched. Consequently, I very rarely saw people take these on.
I never really understood this because making these hard decisions was something I never shied away from. As I progressed, I continued this practice of taking the harder path. In fact, it aligned with my values and always felt the right thing to do.
The component that I saw and felt missing from the vocabulary of so many leaders, and what had been a consistent thread in my career, came down to these two words: moral courage.
I have always felt it’s an essential quality needed in today’s leadership language. Moreover, if it could be cultivated, then imagine the difference that could be made:
-
To systems.
-
To organisations.
-
To their people.
-
And to those leaders.
So that’s what I’m going to do:
-
To support organisations in unlocking moral courage within their leadership teams.
-
To work with leaders to cultivate and grow this innate quality that’s resting inside of them.
-
To help guide as many people as I can to their True North.
There are 3 ways that I can help here:
1. Keynote speaking
Through powerful storytelling centred on moral courage, helping audiences shift mindsets, move hearts, and inspire action.
2. Morally Courageous Leaders
Through a bespoke leadership programme, based on my True North Framework, working with organisations to unlock moral courage in their leaders through a series of interactive workshops.
3. Leadership Coaching
Helping support leaders on a one-to-one basis in this journey.
So that’s the big idea. Terrifying? Just a bit. But also incredibly exciting.
To have the chance to leverage all my experience into trying to make a difference in something I am so passionate about is a privilege. In addition, it allows me to focus on helping others find their own True North.
So, if you’re interested in finding out more or maybe even working with me, please check out my shiny new website in the link by my name and book a discovery call. Alternatively, you can drop me an email at: hello@salnaseem.co.uk
And could I ask for a wee favour? If you can share♻️ this post so others can see what I’m trying to do, that would just be absolutely amazing.
Finally, leading with your new True North isn’t just a slogan for me. Instead, it’s a way of life.
Love & light,
Sal ❤️🧭
